This place does capture the essence of central Iowa. A few groups of bicycle riders checked in while we were there. I'm also posting a picture of the view from our first story room.
This is the best Super 8 I have stayed at to date. Contemporary furnishings, clean throughout, great staff, great pool and fine breakfast. I stayed here with family for a Christmas gathering and really enjoyed the spaciousness of the family suite. I definitely recommend.
On the downside, the hot tub was not working and the fitness center was under renovation. Perhaps when they do some more work this place will be worthy of four or five stars.

Strong 3. Friendly staff. There was an over powering smell from the cleaning products; particularly in the main entrance area. Great pillows!
Friendly staff that was professionally helpful throughout our visit. Newly remodeled lobby was nice.
The room was clean, the air conditioning worked as expected, and the continental breakfast didn't disappoint. (I had waffles, a cup of yogurt, and Farmer Brothers coffee.)
